Dr Kinga Szymaniak
Senior Research Officer and Postdoctoral Researcher
Kinga is a Senior Research Officer at the CADE clinic. Her role involves contributing to a range of research and academic projects. She completed her PhD at the University of Warsaw (Poland) and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Her doctoral research focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying anger, including its relationships with personality traits, cognition, behaviour, and other emotions. More recently, her research has expanded to encompass various psychiatric disorders, with a particular focus on mood disorders and ADHD. She is especially interested in phenomenology of these conditions, their causes, underlying mechanisms, and consequences. Her research seeks to deepen understanding of these conditions and support their translation into clinical practice.
